Today in History: Melina vs. Mickie James at Backlash 2007

On this day in history:

April 29th, 2007 | At 2007’s Backlash, Melina defended her Women’s Championship against Mickie James in a rematch to the bout that brought the title to Melina’s waist. Clearly, there was no love lost between these two: both competitors played dirty, using a lot of choking, hair pulling, eye-raking and forced splits to gain an advantage. In the end, it was Melina with a well-timed eye-rake that set her up for her finisher, and she defeated Mickie, retaining her title.
