Today in History: Trish Stratus vs. Kane

On this day in history:

February 2nd, 2004 | A week after being saved from a match with Kane, Trish Stratus was all set to face Women’s Champ Molly Holly for her title, but GM Eric Bischoff had other ideas. He told Trish that, as she was not the number one contender, she would not be facing Molly. Instead, she found herself face to face with the Big Red Machine. The bell sounded, and Kane prepared to hit Trish with a chokeslam, but Chris Jericho came to her rescue, fighting off Kane and injuring his knee in the process.
