Today in History: Alicia Fox vs. Mickie James at Hell in a Cell 2009

On this day in history:

October 4th, 2009 | At 2009’s Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View, the (thus far) title-less Alicia Fox had a shot to finally claim gold when competing for Mickie James‘s Divas Championship. The unconventional style of both women made the match a unique one, but the tried and true Mickie-DT was what sealed the deal, allowing Mickie to win the match and retain her title. Try as she might, Alicia wouldn’t claim the title until June of the next year.

What are your memories of this moment?
