Today in History: Beth Phoenix breaks her jaw

On this day in history:

June 5th, 2006 | It would probably be an understatement to say that Beth Phoenix had some bad luck during her first run with the WWE. After debuting as a mysterious figure in Mickie James‘s past and hounding her for a few weeks, she wrestled her first singles match against Victoria. During the bout, she suffered a fractured mandible. The injury would keep her off of WWE programming for over a year, after which she would return as a heel.

What are your memories of this moment?
