Today in History: Beth Phoenix vs. Candice Michelle at No Mercy 2008

On this day in history:

October 5th, 2008 | A year after ending Candice Michelle‘s first Women’s Title reign, Beth Phoenix gave her a shot to win the title back. In the year prior, Beth had lost and regained the title from Mickie James, but the story came full circle at No Mercy. Beth didn’t hesitate to zero in on Candice’s injured shoulder, and Candice was unable to overcome it. When she went for the Candywrapper, Beth easily reversed it into the Glam Slam, pinning Candice and retaining her title.
