Today in History: Beth Phoenix vs. Melina in an “I Quit” Match at One Night Stand 2008

On this day in history:

June 1st, 2008 | Some of the most interesting matches are ones that aren’t driven by the chase of a title, and the “I Quit” match between Beth Phoenix and Melina at 2008’s One Night Stand was proof of that. The two Superstars put everything into the match, and all with the sole aim of humiliating the other by making them say “I quit”. Beth’s power and Melina’s ferocity were in full show, but it was the Glamazon’s strength – and one mean submission hold – that won the night.

What are your memories of this moment?
