Today in History: Brooke vs. Madison Rayne at Hardcore Justice 2012

On this day in history:

August 12th, 2012 | At Hardcore Justice 2012, Brooke defended the Knockouts Title against Madison Rayne in her first big title defense since winning the belt back at Slammiversary. Unfortunately for Brooke, all the underdog fire in the world couldn’t help her overcome a significant advantage that Madison held: the favor of referee Earl Hebner. Madison would win the match and the Knockouts Title, using the ropes for leverage to pin Brooke. Hebner’s infatuation wouldn’t help Madison for long, though: she would lose the title to Brooke just four days later.
