Today in History: Chyna competes in the 1999 King of the Ring quarterfinals

On this day in history:

June 27th, 1999 | In 1999, Chyna became the first (and so far, only) woman to compete in the King of the Ring tournament. She was given her spot in the tournament by Triple H, who had vacated it. In the first round, she defeated Val Venis, taking her to the quarterfinals, which took place on Pay-Per-View. There, she took on former DX stablemate Road Dogg, and came close to advancing to the semifinals. It wasn’t meant to be, though: when she attempted to hit Road Dogg with her signature low blow, she ended up injuring herself, hitting what was revealed to be a steel cup. He then hit her with a pumphandle slam and pinned her, eliminating her from the tournament.
