Today in History: Gail Kim vs. Taryn Terrell in a Last Knockout Standing Match at Slammiversary 2013

On this day in history:

June 2nd, 2013 | Taryn Terrell‘s transition from referee to an in-ring competitor was due largely in part to Gail Kim, whose verbal abuse provoked Taryn into snapping and kick-started a feud between them. Their first big match – a Last Knockout Standing match, no less – took place at Slammiversary 2013. Taryn proved her doubters wrong several times over, taking plenty of punishment but still managing to defeat Gail, taking her down for referee ODB‘s ten-count with a running cutter off the stage. This match impressed many, ranking high on most 2013 year-end lists as well as some considering it Slammiversary’s Match of the Night.
