Today in History: Maria Kanellis wins the Knockouts Title

On this day in history:

September 1st, 2016 | One week after winning her first Knockouts Championship, Allie was treated to an in-ring celebration courtesy of her boss Maria Kanellis. Former titleholder Sienna raged to the ring to confront Allie but a plotting Maria was able to send her away. With no one else to stop her, Maria revealed that the champion ceremony was actually for her all along and ordered Allie to lay down in the middle of the ring, threatening to fire her if she didn’t obey. A referee would come out as Maria made the easy pin over Allie to become the new Knockouts champion.
