Today in History: The Beautiful People win the Knockouts Tag Team Titles

On this day in history:

March 8th, 2010 | As the Knockouts Tag Team Titles had been vacated with Awesome Kong‘s TNA departure, the belts were put up for grabs. Three teams did battle: The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne & Velvet Sky); Sarita & Taylor Wilde; and Angelina Love & Tara. It didn’t take much for the match to descend into chaos, and Daffney took advantage of that, hitting Tara with the Knockouts Title and allowing Madison to pin her, making The Beautiful People the new Knockouts Tag Team Champions. Under the Freebird rule, Lacey Von Erich was also considered a champion. This was the only time an incarnation of The Beautiful People would hold the titles.
