Two in-ring debuts took place on this week’s NXT; Halloween Havoc matches set for Oct. 26

Not only is Halloween Havoc back on Oct. 26 but the ‘Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal’ concept has returned as well. Last year, Halloween Havoc was one of several old-school themes that were brought back. This show was based in WCW in the ’90s and is now a feature under the NXT banner.

From last year’s event, Shotzi Blackheart hosted the show and the women’s match stipulation was determined by a wheel titled ‘Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal.’ The wheel landed on a Tables, Ladders, and Scares match which was given to then-NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai defending her title against Candice LeRae.

Toxic Attraction is going for all the gold at this year’s event. The stable led by Mandy Rose along with Jacy Jayne & Gigi Dolin has become a formidable force. On this week’s NXT, Rose made the challenge for the NXT Women’s Title while Jayne and Dolin want the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles.

NXT Women’s Champion, Raquel Gonzalez would accept the challenge later in the night in a promo where she says she has always taken on all challengers. Whether they be iconic champions, sworn enemies, an ex-best friend, or a future hall of fame she has taken on and defeated all that have come in her path. Gonzalez confirmed that she is upping the stakes and their match stipulation will be determined by the ‘Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal.’

As for the tag team championships, things would get more crowded later in the night. Toxic Attraction isn’t the only team that wants the tag gold. With Candice LeRae unable to compete at this time, Indi Hartwell has sought the help of her best friend Persia Pirotta.

Pirotta would be the first of two in-ring debuts this week. She and Hartwell faced Sarray and Amari Miller. A solid match between both teams ended with Miller on the shoulders of Pirotta. After she planted her opponent on the mat, Hartwell executed a springboard arm drop from the top rope to get the pin.

After the match, Pirotta took to the match and said they wanted a tag team title opportunity. Out would come the champions Io Shirai & Zoey Stark as well as Toxic Attraction. A brawl between all three teams ensued and the champions stood tall at the end.

What the main roster can’t seem to do lately, a Triple Threat was confirmed for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships at Halloween Havoc.

The second in-ring debut of the night came from Diamond Mine’s Ivy Nile. Nile is being built up as a very strong competitor as she faced Valentia Feroz. Nile won the match with a submission on her shoulders as Feroz tapped out.

Lastly, this may or may not be related to the women’s division. A mysterious promo aired that showed a person dragging a shovel behind them before they start to dig. In a distorted voice, the person says, “I will bury the past, so I can start again.”

Most fan speculation leads toward this being Elias, however, two women’s names keep getting floated around by fans. Ember Moon? Dakota Kai? What do you think?
