Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo is set to defend her title at Slammiversary on July 17. But who is her opponent?

Former seven-time Knockouts Champion and IMPACT producer Gail Kim made a face-to-face announcement on this past week’s IMPACT! that Purrazzo will not find out her opponent until the day of the show. It is a mystery. This has caused a lot of speculation on who it could potentially be.
With a few names that were released by WWE in April ending their 90-day non-compete clause, those names are on the top of the list. Chelsea Green, Mickie James, Cassie Lee, and Jessica McKay (The IIconics) are the four that would be included in the conversation. Another name that fans are speculating is Ruby Soho (formerly-Ruby Riott). Unlike the names previously mentioned, Ruby was released from WWE on June 2.
In a report from Fightful Select, they shut down the idea that Ruby could be Purrazzo’s mystery opponent. They haven’t heard the details of her non-compete clause, but they haven’t heard of any bookings for her publicly. What they have heard, which is good news, is that the mystery opponent is someone who is currently not on the IMPACT Wrestling roster.
So with that last statement, it can be determined that the reemergence of Su Yung nor the missing in action Taylor Wilde, will be Purrazzo’s opponent at the time of this writing.
