WOH: UK Tour 2018 Results

This past weekend, Ring of Honor held three shows over in the United Kingdom. Featured on all three shows were four prominent members of the current Women of Honor Division: Tenille Dashwood, Kelly Klein, Chardonnay and WOH Champion Sumie Sakai.

The first night of the tour saw Chardonnay and Klein defeat Tenille and Sakai. This tour featured the first time the WOH championship was defended in the United Kingdom. In addition to history being made, the women of ROH also made a few other appearances aside from in-ring competition.

On Saturday, May 26th, ROH held their Honor United: London event. This show featured a one on one bout between Tenille and Klein. In this particular matchup, it was Tenille who was able to pick up the win over Klein.

The next night at Honor United: Doncaster, Sakai defended the WOH championship in Britain for the first time against Chardonnay. Chardonnay was able to implement impressive maneuvers against Sakai, including a powerful spinebuster. Despite Chardonnay’s onslaught, Sakai was able to overcome the relative newcomer and retain her championship.

Although not in a matchup, Tenille was also featured at Honor United: Doncaster as a special guest referee for a tag match up featuring Kenny King and Toru Yano against Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian. Tenille oversaw the bout as Yano and King were able to put away Daniels and Kazarian.

Brandi Rhodes was also present throughout the tour. Rhodes was originally supposed to compete in action during this tour. However, Rhodes unfortunately suffered a broken clavicle earlier this month that prevented her from getting into the ring. Despite her injury, Rhodes accompanied her husband Cody on back to back nights in London and Doncaster. Although injured, Rhodes was still able to manage her husband to consecutive wins against Kenny King and Scorpio Sky.

What did you guys think of the matches from the UK tour? Who are you guys looking forward to seeing Sakai defend her title against next? Were you intrigued by the additional ways ROH used their women on the tour? Let us know in the comments below!
