At the twenty-third WrestleMania, Diva Search winner and Playboy covergirl Ashley Massaro took on Women’s Champion Melina with the title on the line.
As per the match’s stipulation, Divas surrounded the ring as “lumberjills”. These included Brooke, Candice Michelle, Jillian Hall, Kelly Kelly, Kristal Marshall, Layla, Maria Kanellis, Michelle McCool, Mickie James, Torrie Wilson, Trinity and Victoria.
Despite the threat posed by the Divas around the ring, Melina managed to hang on to the Women’s Title, reversing Ashley’s pin into one of her own and bridging it to earn the three count. Upset at the sudden loss, Ashley attacked Melina, prompting her fellow Divas to storm the ring and do some brawling of their own.
