Tonight at WWE: TLC, Naomi was on the way to having a Cinderella-like night, rising from her usual Funkadactyl duties to becoming the #1 contender to the Divas Title in the pre-show Battle Royal.
When it came time for her to face Divas Champion Eve Torres, Naomi came out swinging, showing off amazing agility and keeping Eve on her toes.
It was this same agility that came back to bite her, though, when she sprung off the turnbuckle for a body splash, but found nothing but mat. With Naomi winded, Eve took the opportunity to hit her with a quick Heart Breaker, pinning Naomi to retain the Divas Championship.
Though Naomi didn’t win the Divas Title, tonight was a huge night for her. It could very well be considered the night she “arrived”.
