Tonight at SummerSlam, Brie Bella‘s chance for revenge against Stephanie McMahon was thwarted by her own sister.
Coming out of a decade-long in-ring absence, Stephanie showed impressive in-ring prowess, actually dominating Brie for much of the match. The tides turned with a Lous Thesz press, Brie beating down Stephanie to chants of “Yes! Yes! Yes!”.
This brought out Stephanie’s husband Triple H and Brie’s sister Nikki Bella. When Brie locked in the Yes Lock, Triple H would dispose of the referee, getting dropkicked by Brie in response. This left Nikki to enter the ring and, with Brie, corner Stephanie.
Out of nowhere, though, Nikki would turn against her sister, attacking her and leaving her to be hit with a Pedigree. Stephanie would pin Brie and score a huge victory.
