Tonight, with some help from Mickie James, Alexa Bliss defeated Nia Jax in an Extreme Rules to retain the Raw Women’s Championship.

Earlier in the night, WWE cameras caught Ronda Rousey arriving at Extreme Rules to be at ringside for this Raw Women’s Championship match.
Natalya was at Jax’s corner to help even the playing field against the duo of Bliss and James. The match started off with Bliss slapping Jax across the face, leading to chase to the outside ring. A kendo stick was introduced by Bliss but Jax snatched and broke it. James then began passing Bliss more weapons she found under the ring but each of them was tossed inside the ring by Jax.

When the action returned to the ring, Jax delivered a corner splash to Bliss and tossed the champion onto a steel chair. Bliss tried to use a chair against Jax but the latter overpowered her and snatched it away. Jax then lifted Bliss over her shoulders and dropped the champion over a trash can.
Bliss slips to the outside but Jax tosses her back in. Bliss manages to escape Jax’s clutches by attacking her with a trash can lid. The champion then set up a chair at a corner and brought Jax down with a dropkick.
Jax gets to her feet and strikes Bliss with a forearm and headbutt. She follows up with a corner charging attack but misses, crashing shoulder first into the corner chair instead. James tries to get involved by passing Bliss a trashcan lid but Natalya makes the save. This brought Bliss to back to the outside, where she attacked Natalya.

As the double team of James and Bliss tossed Natalya to the barricade, Rousey jumped over the barricade and unleashed her attack on James, taking her out with a Death Valley Driver inside the ring. Rousey then turned her attention to Bliss and chased after her but James grabbed a kendo stick to take Rousey out.

Back in the ring, Jax catches Bliss as goes for a crossbody from the top turnbuckle. Jax sets up for the Samoan Drop but James attacks from behind with a steel chair. Bliss then grabbed a chair of her own to attack Jax and put her down for the three count with a DDT over the chair.
