Rosa Mendes announces retirement from the WWE

Rosa Mendes is retiring from the WWE, ending her decade run with the company.

Rosa broke the news of her retirement with two touching posts from her official Instagram account, in which she also celebrates her daughter Jordan Schubenski‘s first birthday.

In the posts, Rosa comments on her decision of leaving behind her wrestling dreams of one day becoming a WWE Champion to focus on motherhood, future with soon-to-be husband Bobby Schubenski, her successful Totally Fit Mama business and the love she shared throughout her time with WWE:

Rosa first joined the WWE in November 2008 after a two year run with WWE’s previous developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling – where she held the OVW Women’s Championship. Rosa would go on to take on various managing roles to the likes of Beth Phoenix, Fandango, Adam Rose and team of Épico and Primo.

Rosa also stared in season three and season five of Total Divas.
