Jacy Jayne is still the NXT Women’s Champion, thanks to Blake Monroe. At Evolution on Sunday, Jayne defeated Grace to retain the title which means she is heading to TNA’s Slammiversary. There, she will be facing the TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich in a Title vs. Title match where one woman will become a double champion.
With having the rest of her Fatal Influence faction mates at ringside (Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx), Grace requested that Monroe be in her corner to help even the odds some. Grace & Monroe defeated Jayne & Henley at The Great American Bash on Saturday. Monroe had won the match by pinning the champion.
This plan backfired for Grace at Evolution. While Henley got the title belt to Jayne to use while Nyx distracted the referee, Jayne was caught and stopped red handed. Nyx would pick the belt back up moments later, perhaps to help Jayne again, but Monroe laid on Nyx and grabbed the belt. She then used the belt to hit Grace in the back allowing Jayne to get the pin.
Post match, Monroe handed the belt back to Jayne before leaving the ring as Grace seethed at ringside.
