Former AEW and ROH talent Leyla Hirsch has reportedly reached out to WWE for a referee tryout.
Some clarity has come into focus over the past few days as Fightful Select has provided the most updated information on this news. Fightful was told by those close to Hirsch that she contacted the company herself about working as a referee and was able to get a tryout as a result. The tryout has already taken place.
There was confusion earlier in the news that made it seem that Hirsch was getting a tryout for WWE and they optioned to give her a referee tryout instead of a wrestler one. That was not the case. One WWE source states that wires got crossed on who made the initial contact.
As of this writing, it is unknown if Hirsch will appear in WWE in any capacity.
