Katie Lea Burchill may be most remembered from that incestuous relationship with her on screen “brother” Paul Burchill in WWE, but the veteran talent is much more than that. For those that may have been fans with WWE since its OVW days, will remember when Katie Lea first got into WWE. OVW was developmental for WWE at the time and Katie Lea was in a great group of women including Beth Phoenix, Serena Deeb, ODB, and more.
While speaking on Ring the Belle, Katie Lea explained that in OVW the women were allowed to really wrestle more as opposed to the main roster. The women back then were frequently told to wrestle like women and not outshine the men. Katie Lea and DS Shin talk about the very first ladder match considered under WWE for the women as she took on Beth Phoenix for the Undisputed OVW Women’s Title.
