Hola a todos, and welcome to the CMLL Weekly Review!
Ever since Mecerdes Monè won the CMLL Title and with Zeuxis being sidelined due to injury, there has been a space for the younger talent to showcase themselves.
This week it was Tabata and Candela that battled it out in a six-women’s tag match alongside Nexy, Dulce Kitty, Zorah and Magia Azul.
With Candela leading the pack, Las Rudas took control of the match, winning the first fall.
They continued to dominate, punishing the babyfaces with an innovative offense. After some miscommunications, the babyfaces got their act together to make a comeback, and finally, in sync, they won the second fall via submission with the “nudo lagunero”.
Yet it was not enough and in the blink of an eye the heels took the last fall, winning the match. You can watch the match on Youtube now!
Last Friday night, Hera and Olympia were in action. Coming from their recent tag title match loss, they faced Princesa Sugehit and the Mexican National Women’s Champion India Sioux.
Even after giving a good fight, the sister duo were unable to succeed and lost last fall to the veteran team, continuing their tag team losing streak, for now.
India Sioux will defend the Mexican National Women’s Championship September 26th in the Noche de Campeones Event . As of the writing of this article, Olympia leads the poll with 59.02% of the votes. You can vote between Olympia, Hera and Kira to choose her challenger.
This will be it for now, let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
