Stephanie Vaquer: “When I Went To Raw, They Said They Wanted To Change My Music”

Stephanie Vaquer has easily become one of the most popular women in WWE since her debut. After less than a year in NXT, and becoming a double champion, she debuted for the main roster officially after WrestleMania earlier this year.

While speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Vaquer mentioned that WWE were wanting to change her music when she went up to the main roster. This is a common thing for some wrestlers when they officially move up from NXT.

Her response to this was, “When I went to Raw, they said they wanted to change my music. I talked with Shawn Michaels. ‘Shawn, please. I love my music. I don’t want to change it.’ He’s like, ‘Okay, let me see what we can do.’ I think people love the music.” (Fightful/Transcript)

When a talent has good music and the crowd enjoys it, it should just be left alone. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

Vaquer has gone on to have some success so far this year. She won the Evolution Battle Royal in July and is set to challenge IYO SKY for the vacant Women’s World Title this Saturday at Wrestlepalooza.
