Report: Tiffany Stratton Not Injured

There has been some discussion over the past week on the medical status of WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton.

Stratton defended the championship on the Sept. 12 episode of SmackDown against Jade Cargill. The match ended in a double count out prior to Nia Jax appearing to take out both women. Stratton was planned to take part in a six-woman tag team match at NXT Homecoming this past Tuesday. She was pulled from the match citing she wasn’t medically cleared.

Skipping ahead to the rumored match for the WWE Women’s Championship to happen at Wrestlepalooza on Saturday, Sept. 20. Reportedly, on merchandise being sold for the event, a Triple Threat between Stratton, Cargill, and Jax was shown on t-shirts. According to a report by PWInsider, the match was moved, but Stratton is not injured.

The word backstage at SmackDown was that Stratton is not injured and the plans to move the WWE Women’s Title match are logistical in nature so that the Wrestlepalooza show isn’t overstacked. The event only has five matches.

The match is now set for next week’s SmackDown on Sept. 26.
