AJ Lee teamed up with her husband CM Punk as they took on the champion couple Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins at Wrestlepalooza this Saturday. Lee made her shocking return just weeks ago in her current hometown of Chicago. Since then she’s been on a mission to defend her husband against Lynch’s verbal and physical assaults.
Lee hasn’t had a match for over a decade, but the former three-time Divas Champion hasn’t missed a step.
During the match, Lee put Lynch in her Black Widow submission, as Punk had Rollins in a sharpshooter. Despite Lynch poking Punk in the eyes, and Rollins pulling Lee out of the subission on Lynch, Lee ended up locking him in the Black Widow. There was also a moment later when Lynch put Punk in a sharpshooter, but Punk reversed it and put her in a sharpshooter.
The final moments had Rollins and Punk on a table, and Lee and Lynch were on the other table. Lynch tossed Lee into Rollins and Punk, and the table collapsed. Back in the ring, Lynch was caught in the Black Widow by Lee and tapped out.
Lynch is currently the Women’s IC Champion Nd this could lead to Lee getting a title shot.
