**Trigger warning: Allegations of domestic violence**
TNA has reportedly opened an investigation for abuse allegations against former TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich.
On Sept. 23, after the PWI rankings dropped showing Slamovich as the highest woman on the list, allegations of domestic abused was exposed on social media. The abuse is against Slamovich’s former partner and fellow wrestler AKIRA. The social media posts were alleged text messages posted by AKIRA’s friend about exchanges between AKIRA and Slamovich.
In a report by Jon Alba of The Takedown on SI, they reached to TNA in regards to the allegations.
A spokesperson for the organization replied with the following statement:
“We take any allegations like this very seriously, and have begun an internal investigation.”
Alba states he has reached out for comment from Slamovich with no response.
As for AKIRA, he took to social media and issued a lengthy statement. Included in this was detailed elements of their relationship. He says that he nearly committed suicide on three separate occasions throughout the relationship.
