The upcoming NXT vs. TNA event on Oct. 7 titled Showdown, has been met with some criticism. The four on four women’s match that has been booked (Team NXT with Jacy Jayne, Jaida Parker, Sol Ruca, and Lola Vice taking on Team TNA with Kelani Jordan, The IInspiration, and Mara Sade) isn’t receiving a good reaction from fans.
The Team TNA being made up of a current NXT Superstar who is the Knockouts Champion along with three former NXT talents in particular is an odd choice. A name who was not picked for either team, especially now that she’s in NXT from TNA is Jordynne Grace.
This whole crossover between the two companies/brands started with Grace. She was the Knockouts World Champion when she first appeared in the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble. She then continued to appear with NXT and went against then-NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez at Battleground.
Grace called out both Ava and Santino Marella in the post below stating – “There is no Showdown without me setting the stage for it two years ago.”
