We have a new Evolve Women’s Champion and that woman is Kendal Grey. Grey has been an Evolve mainstay since day one and found herself in the last NXT battle royal this week in the final four.
Grey defeated Kali Armstrong to win her first gold in her wrestling career. The match took place in the main event of this week’s Evolve Succession episode. This ends Armstrong’s reign at 174 days. The finish had Grey counter a spear with a power slam and then the pin.
Armstrong had four successful title defenses during her reign and has made several appearances on NXT. There had been previous rumblings that Armstrong was impressing officials and would move to NXT officially in the near future.
