Mercedes Moné has collected two more belts within the past three days. She first became the Interim ROH Women’s TV Champion on Saturday at AEW’s WrestleDream when she defeated Mina Shirakawa. Then on Sunday she scored belt number 12 when she defeated Jody Threat.
She defeated Threat for the WPW Women’s Championship at the last Winnipeg Pro Wrestling event. Threat had held the title for 37 days.
Winnipeg Pro Wrestling co-owner Devin Bray says Mercedes Moné’s involvement with their Rumble in the Burt 3 event took them to a new level:
“Obviously, Mercedes has added a lot of prestige and excitement. We attracted, I’d say, a couple of hundred more people who didn’t know we existed who live here and are wrestling fans. So it just took us to a whole new level.” – Post Wrestling.
