Sisters Of Sin Advance In Tag Title Tournament; Penelope Ford Out Of Action

The tournament for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships kicks off tonight on AEW Dynamite.

But first, this Saturday on Collision, Mercedes Moné has her hands full as she defends her CMLL World Women’s Championship against Olympia.

Renee Paquette is backstage with the AEW Women’s World Champion, Kris Statlander, and the champ looks to put “The CEO” on notice come their match at Full Gear.

Moné answers the call and attacks Statlander during the break backstage. The two brawl to the stage, but Statlander manages to carry Moné to the ring. Coming to her rescue is the ROH Women’s World Champion, Athena.

The two manage to put down Statlander, but coming to her rescue is the team of Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron. Nightingale and Cameron will face Moné and Athena next week in the tag team title tournament.

Next, Jamie Hayter and Queen Aminata team up to take on the Sisters of Sin, Julia Hart and Skye Blue in the tag team title tournament. After winning a choice for their first opponents, Hayter and Aminata are determined to get one over on the Triangle of Madness in this quarterfinals match.

Aminata and Hayter are up to some great teamwork with a sequence of suplexes, cutting Blue from her corner.

The Sisters of Sin take back control of the match with their usual antics, and now have Hayter locked away from her partner. However, Hayter fights back with her power and gets the hot tag out to Aminata. Both teams meet in the middle and get the best of each other.

Thekla takes out Hayter on the outside with spear, and this allows the Sisters of Sin to drive Aminata down on the mat and advance in the tournament.

Backstage, Penelope Ford is out of action indefinitely after suffering an injury last week. Ford cannot compete in the tag title tournament with Megan Bayne, but Marina Shafir seems to have an interest in taking her place.
