Nixon Newell & Miranda Alize Reportedly Left AEW Collision Booking Prior To The Match

Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize, who are partners in life and now in the ring, reportedly left AEW instead of taking booking on Collision.

In a report by PWInsider, there was a change to Saturday’s show after Newell and Alize refused to lose in their second appearance for the promotion.

The duo were scheduled to put over Tay Melo and Anna Jay, but balked at the booking because they had already lost in their official debut last week. The duo left the taping about an hour before bell time and were replaced by Hyan and Maya World.  PWInsider is told that AEW was appreciative of Maya and Hyan stepping up and that each gained points internally.

Alize took to social media commenting they “have SOOOO much to say.”  She also re-tweeted fan comments about the team needing credible wins.  Newell (as of this article) has not commented herself, but re-tweeted Alize’s comment as well as the same fan Tweets.

Neither were believed to be under AEW contract.

UPDATE: In an update from the original report below, Fightful clarified the PWInsider report. They received word that Newell and Alize left because they wanted more time in the match. This is a bit different then them not wanting to lose in the match as originally reported.
