Jacy Jayne is a two-time NXT Women’s Champion, as The Culling has turned its back on Tatum Paxley, costing her the title. This ends Paxley’s reign at 25 days with only one successful title defense.
This match main evented NXT Gold Rush night one. The final moments of the match included Jayne with the title belt in hand, but she was caught by the referee. Paxley attempted to get a roll-up win, but Jayne kicked out. Paxley spilled outside and on the side with The Culling….thinking she would obviously be safe on that side, she wasn’t. As she went to get back into the ring, Shawn Spears and Niko Vance stepped in front of Paxley and blocked her. Izzi Dame knocked Paxley down with a big boot. Back in the ring, Jayne hit Rolling Encore for the win and to capture her second NXT Women’s Title.
The show ended with Dame in the ring, yelling at Paxley.
Two other championship matches took place, with the champions retaining. First, Chelsea Green and Ethan Page retained the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships against Thea Hail and Joe Hendry. The final moments of the match had Hail superkick Page and knock Alba Fyre off the ring apron. Green went for the UnprettyHer, but Hail countered with the Kimura. Page and Hendry ended up breaking up the Kimura, which led to Green landing the UnprettyHer to get the win and retain.
Page and Green will be defending the titles against Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana at AAA this weekend. There was a backstage segment with Lola Vice, Jordynne Grace, and Kelani Jordan. Grace and Jordan exchanged words for their TNA Knockouts World Title next week, which will have Lei Ying Lee involved.
The NXT Women’s North American Title was on the line as well, with Sol Ruca attempting to get back the belt from Blake Monroe after never losing it. Zaria was at ringside. Monroe retained the belt after Zaria threw in the towel for Ruca when Monroe had her in a submission that was targeting the already injured knee.
