Fallon Henley is a champion once again.
During the second and final week of NXT Gold Rush, Henley defeated Zaria to win the vacant title. The title was relinquished by Sol Ruca based on her short term injury. Zaria had wanted to win back the title for Ruca despite the bad blood recently between them.
The match clock of five minutes actually counted down to zero. In previous Speed matches when this happens, the champion retains. Since this title has no active champion, NXT General Manager Ava emerged and issued sudden death.
The final moments of the match landed a spear from Zaria to Henley. This caused Henley to roll out of the ring. Zaria attempted another spear on the outside, but Lainey Reid pulled Henley out of the way. Zaria landed into the steel steps instead. Back in the ring, Henley gets the pin off of the Shining Wizard into a leg drop.
