We are nearing the end of the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Tournament. We will soon have the inaugural champions after the finals tag place. We are down to three teams, and after Dynamite on Dec. 3, we will have our final two.
In a conversation with the Battleground Podcast, AEW CEO Tony Khan talked about the titles and said they would be able to be defended in other promotions. AEW currently has working relationships with CMLL, STARDOM, and various independent promotions.
“Absolutely. We would defend those Women’s Tag Team Titles from AEW in any promotion, and whoever wins this tournament, they’re gonna be great representatives.”
The Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron) have made their way to the final. They will face the winner of the Timeless LoveBombs (Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa) vs. the MegaProblems (Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir). This last semi-finals match takes place on Dec. 3’s AEW Dynamite in a Hardcore Holiday Deathmatch.
