Tonight on AEW Dynamite, we determine who will earn their spot at the finals in the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship tournament.
First, we hear from The Babes of Wrath, Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale, as they made it to the finals of the tag team championship tournament. Whatever obstacle comes their way, they are determined to win those tag team titles.
The Timeless Lovebombs, Mina Shirakawa and “Timeless” Toni Storm, will face off against Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir in a semi-finals match in the tag title tournament. After the Timeless Lovebombs won a chance at choosing a stipulation match, they chose to get festive in a Hardcore Holiday Deathmatch.
All chaos immediately breaks loose, and Storm cracks open a champagne bottle on Shafir while Shirakawa looks to serve Bayne a barbed wire candy cane. Through sheer power, Bayne and Shafir fight back with some gifts of their own.
Storm drives Bayne through a table on the outside with a Storm Zero. And Shirakawa delivers a hard slingblade to Shafir on the chair. Bayne looks to put a stop to it as she spears Shirakawa through a table on the corner. But as Bayne and Shafir try to double-team, Storm counters with another Storm Zero of her own.
Santa Claus arrives with a gift for Shafir, but it appears to be none other than Luther. With a shoe to the head of Shafir, Storm rolls her up and now punches their ticket to the finals next week at Winter Is Coming.
Next, we take a look at the Triangle of Madness as they deliver a message to Jamie Hayter and the AEW Women’s World Champion, Kris Statlander. Hayter and Statlander propose a match on Collision to take on Julia Hart and Skye Blue.
Next, we hear from “Último” Mercedes Moné, as she defends her Ring of Honor Women’s World TV Championship against Red Velvet at ROH Final Battle. Moné will give Velvet another chance this Friday, and looks to prove why she is this year’s PWI’s #1 Women’s Wrestler of the year.
