16. Kairi Sane vs. Rhea Ripley — Raw (October 13, 2025)
2025 ended up being a renaissance year for Kairi Sane, a year in which she sharpened both her in-ring skills and her character work. This Raw match against Rhea Ripley was her longest WWE singles match to date and easily one of her best showcases. Kairi and Rhea had incredible chemistry together: Kairi leaned into her agility and sharp precision while Rhea asserted her strength. Their opposing styles clicked, with Kairi steadily chipping away at Rhea through fast, aerial offense. But in the end Ripley was able to answer back with raw power and took full control of the match’s tempo. Rhea may have scored the win, but The Kabuki Warriors got the last laugh with a ringside attack. And honestly — was there any finisher better than the Insane Elbow this year?
15. Iyo Sky and Jordynne Grace vs. Roxanne Perez and Giulia — NXT (April 29, 2025)
One week out from her title defense at WrestleMania, Iyo Sky teamed up with Jordynne Grace against the short-lived partnership of Roxanne Perez and Giulia in an exhibition-style banger on NXT. Each woman had stellar chemistry with one another and was firing on all cylinders offensively. Iyo was riding a high at this point in the year and brought out her full arsenal of tricks, especially in the high-octane finishing stretch with Roxanne in which they went counter for counter. There may not have been much story tied to this match, but from a purely wrestling perspective it was outstanding. If this match had carried more narrative weight, it easily would have placed higher on the list. More Iyo vs. Roxanne in 2025, please.
14. Giulia (c) vs. Stephanie Vaquer (c) — NXT Women’s Championship + NXT Women’s North American Championship — NXT Roadblock
It may have been a bit surprisingly short — and arguably overhyped as the biggest women’s match in NXT history — but this highly anticipated title-for-title bout still delivered breakneck action. These two women had crossed paths in other promotions across the world before converging in NXT to help reshape the WWE women’s division in 2025. Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia’s arrival in WWE marked a true sea change, raising the bar and signaling that the entire division would need to compete at a world-class level. Accordingly, the chemistry and psychology between them were electric, and the counters and sequences were as clean as could be. We were all left wanting more, but as the first chapter of Stephanie Vaquer vs. Giulia in WWE, it delivered a memorable finish: Stephanie hitting two SVBs to put Giulia away and leave Roadblock as the first-ever double champion in NXT’s women’s division.
