Throughout the month of February, Diva Dirt will spotlight one Black women’s wrestler a day. This won’t be a countdown, but just a way to shine light on the past and present Black women of the industry. With that said, these daily articles will not be in any particular order.
Representation matters to marginalized groups, and here at Diva Dirt we focus on giving those individuals the recognition they deserve.
It may be January 31 and not quite February yet, but we have started two days early to make sure we spotlight 30 different women.
The first woman was posted yesterday and was Jacqueline. You can view that here.
Next up is Lash Legend.
Lash Legend has already made significant strides in WWE, rising from a homegrown talent to earning a spot on SmackDown. Though still new to the main roster and yet to capture a championship, her dedication and hard work are evident in how far she’s come. While WWE developed her as a performer, Legend has long been an athlete, having played college basketball at Texas A&M before being selected in the 2019 WNBA Draft.
Legend made her WWE debut under the NXT brand in 2021. She initially teamed with Amari Miller while also competing as a singles wrestler under the nickname “The Boujee Bully.” As she continued to develop her promo skills, she hosted her own talk show segment titled Lashing Out with Lash Legend.
She later formed a dominant tag team with fellow homegrown talent Jakara Jackson. Known as the Meta Girls, the duo became part of the Meta-Four faction, alongside Noam Dar and Oro Mensah. As a tag team, Legend and Jackson earned multiple tag team championship opportunities in both WWE and TNA.
After being called up in 2025 to SmackDown, Legend currently is in a tag team with Nia Jax. Legend cites other current wrestlers such as Bianca Belair and Mercedes Moné for leading the way in the modern era for Black women. She also cites Jacqueline and Chyna as huge inspirations.
It is only fitting that we recognize Legend today, as she competed in her second Royal Rumble on January 31. Delivering a dominant performance, she left her mark on the match by eliminating several top contenders, including Charlotte Flair, IYO SKY, Jordynne Grace, and WWE Hall of Famers The Bella Twins.
Legend is a future main event star in WWE, and she is only getting started.
