Now former NXT General Manager, Ava (real name Simone Johnson) isn’t mincing her words on social media. Johnson was always outspoken on her socials, but now that she has chosen to not renew her WWE contract, she has made a staunch political statement.
“Now that i can say this with my full chest, 🖕🏽 ice and that entire administration,” she wrote. Since this comment was made, Johnson has deleted her Twitter account at the time of this writing.
In related news, the Wrestling Observer has noted that Johnson was offered a new contract and BodySlamNet says it came with a raise and she chose to not renew.
Dave Meltzer said the following, “I’ve talked to and heard from several people and the general thing was just she didn’t want to do it anymore. There was no compelling reason.” He continues, “It was just one of those things where her parents own a studio and they thought that she’s probably going to end up working there. She doesn’t have to do it.”
WWE LFG talent Tatyanna Dumas, who is the girlfriend of Johnson, has reportedly been released.
Meltzer adds, “One person had contacted me and mentioned Tatyanna Dumas, who is her girlfriend, was cut, which we didn’t hear just a couple of weeks ago. They weren’t quite saying that’s why she quit but it was something that people put one and one together that maybe that had something to do with it, maybe it didn’t, I don’t know.”
