Throughout the month of February, Diva Dirt will spotlight one Black women’s wrestler a day. This won’t be a countdown, but just a way to shine light on the past and present Black women of the industry. With that said, these daily articles will not be in any particular order.
Representation matters to marginalized groups, and here at Diva Dirt we focus on giving those individuals the recognition they deserve.

For Feb. 4 we are going to talk about Alicia Fox.
We can’t talk about the significance of Black women in wrestling without talking about Alicia Fox – especially during the Divas Era. She signed with WWE in 2006 and reported to OVW and then FCW.
Alicia was THE Black woman during the Divas Era until Naomi came along and was standalone after Jacqueline and Jazz moved on from WWE. She became the first and only Black woman to win the Divas Championship in 2010. Alicia inspired names such as Naomi and Cameron to get in the ring.
Despite working during a time where the women were still getting seconds in the ring, Alicia rised up for every moment she received in the ring. This included working through the Divas Era and into the women’s revolution as she participated in the first Evolution event and the first Royal Rumble. Alicia was also partnered with The Bella Twins during this time as Team Bella. A rise in talent occurred from NXT in 2016 including Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch.
After spending two years away from the ring, she returned in 2025 and is currently signed with TNA. She works under her real name, Victoria Crawford. She has been working in the industry since her debut in 2006. Ms. Crawford had a 17 year career in WWE, which is currently the longest for a Black women’s wrestler.
