Tonight, AEW Dynamite is in Denver, Colorado, as the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships are on the line!
The Babes of Wrath, Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale, will defend against MegaBad, Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford. The teams run it back after their bout at Grand Slam Australia, but this time, MegaBad has another force with Lena Kross on their side.
In the singles scene, Kris Statlander will be cleared this Saturday. Thunder Rosa will compete for the AEW Women’s World Championship next week in El Paso, Texas. She hopes to take off the title Thekla, but Renee Paquette asks why Statlander is so concerned about Rosa taking on this match. Regardless, this weekend on Collision, both Rosa and Statlander will face off against the Sisters of Sin, Skye Blue and Julia Hart.
Before we get underway with the tag match of the night, The Brawling Birds give a warning to the tag team division and say they “dont give a flying ****!”
It’s rematch time, and the champions look strong out of the gate as MegaBad miscommunicates and spills to the outside. Bayne makes her way back in the ring and hits a dive through the ropes on the champs. Ford follows through and hits a moonsault out onto the champs and on the floor as well.
Cameron turns the tide back against Bayne and tags back in Nightingale. The TBS Champion has things in her favor, but out of nowhere, Lena Kross attacks Nightingale with one of the tag belts, causing the disqualification.
