Tonight on AEW Dynamite, we continue this week with some mixed tag team action and gold on the line.
In Mixed Tag Team action tonight, SkyFlight, featuring Zayda Steel, will take on the Death Riders with Marina Shafir. Steel has run into Shafir on a few occasions, but looks to prove herself tonight against the dominant Shafir.
Steel, along with SkyFlight, goes flying as they take out the Death Riders on the outside.
As Steel makes the hot tag in, she goes after Shafir, but gets a little overzealous as she’s about to get propped up for a Doomsday Device. Steel’s passion works in her favor as she sends Shafir packing to Jon Moxley. Unfortunately for Steel’s team, Daniel Garcia lands a hard stomp to pick up the win for the Death Riders.
AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions The Divine Dominion, Megan Bayne and Lena Kross, have a message for the former tag team champions tonight.
It’s now decided that this Saturday on Collision, The Babes of Wrath, Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale, will get their rematch for the tag titles. But, will this second chance be their last?
The AEW Women’s World Championship is on the line as Thekla defends her title against Mina Shirakawa. After a big win last week against Shafir, Shirakawa has a more aggressive side to her tonight as she heads for the title and fights for her tag team partner, “Timeless” Toni Storm, who was taken out.
Shirakawa is on a roll tonight, but Thekla tries to come back by driving her soles into the back of Shirakawa. Both begin to trade blows, but Shirakawa eats a hard spear by Thekla as they crash in the middle of the ring.
Thekla begins to be toxic as the belt makes its way to the ring. With the referee distracted, this allows Thekla to pull out the brass knuckles and knock out Shirakawa for the win to retain her title.
