Friday Night SmackDown aired this week from inside the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin, less than 24 hours away from SummerSlam weekend.
Our first match of the night pitted Tiffany Stratton and Chelsea Green against Michin and B-Fab. The match kicked off with B-Fab initially having the upper hand over Stratton before the Buff Barbie tagged in Green. The show returned with Green and B-Fab tagging in Stratton and Michin; Stratton would hit a Swanton bomb only for Michin to kick out at 2.
Jade Cargill, who accompanied The Baddies to the ring, would throw Stratton into the steel steps without the referee noticing, but Green’s attempt at an Un-Pretty-Her resulted in Michin and B-Fab hitting a double team maneuver, referred to on commentary as BTA, to win the match.
Charlotte Flair then made her way out afterwards to distract Jade as Stratton and Green attacked The Baddies and brawled with them into the crowd. Flair and Cargill then duked it out in the ring, with Flair hitting a big boot to send her out of the ring.
The final match of the night was the Interim Women’s Championship Ladder Match Qualifier between Giulia and Lash Legend. Giulia ducked out of a kick by Legend to begin, with The Beautiful Madness going at her larger opponent with a quickness to her offense. Legend ultimately hit a Lash Extension on Giulia to win the match in a short amount of time.
SummerSlam takes place the weekend of August 1st and 2nd from inside the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at 6 p.m. Eastern Time on the ESPN app and on Netflix internationally. The following matches are set to take place across both nights.
Night One (Saturday, August 1st):
- Women’s World Championship: Liv Morgan (c) vs. IYO SKY
- Six-Woman Tag Team Match:Â Paige and The Bella Twins (Brie and Nikki Bella) vs. Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid)
Night One (Sunday, August 2nd):
- Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder Match: Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill vs. Chelsea Green vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Lash Legend
