Tonight’s AEW Dynamite has two women’s matches set, one of which is a return to the ring and the other is a match that has been brewing for weeks.
First, Kris Statlander will be returning to the ring to face Amber Nova.
Nova made her AEW debut this week on Dark as she teamed with Queen Aminata in a losing effort. They faced Red Velvet and Big Swole. Statlander returned from injury a couple of weeks ago and attacked an old foe, Penelope Ford, in the Arcade Anarchy main event. She has since been aligned with the Best Friends stable.
Nova is being rightfully credited as one of the top indie stars, so this looks promising that we may see her more in the future.
The second match is the one that has been building ever since Jade Cargill teamed with Shaq and defeated Red Velvet and Cody Rhodes. Cargill will now go one-on-one for the first time against Velvet who has had many wins under her belt.
