AJ Lee has taken to Twitter to explain her recent absence.
The former Divas Champion, who has been absent from WWE television since losing a Divas Title match a TLC, tweeted that she has taken time off to deal with a nagging neck injury sustained back in the summer:
Finally nursing a neck injury from the week before SummerSlam. Not preggers, guys. Way too attached to my abs.

While this break hasn’t inspired as many rumors as her post-WrestleMania absence last spring, AJ made sure to debunk one of the most persistent rumors about her by clarifying that she’s not pregnant.
No timetable is set for her return, but the current Divas Title storyline may indicate that she’ll be gone until at least after the Royal Rumble.
UPDATE: AJ is being advertised for a January 23rd live event in Trenton, New Jersey. This event takes place two nights before the Royal Rumble.
