The WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion AJ Lee wants to enter the ring against both former opponents and new challenges. Lee returning to WWE in 2025 was arguably one of the biggest returns in wrestling history. With this has brought up many dream matches and potential nostalgic matches taking place.
While speaking with The Takedown on SI, Lee discusses who she would like to face again in the ring. Since returning, Lee has been focused on Becky Lynch and has been challenged by Bayley.
“I think the fans would really love to see me and the Bellas again, or me and Naomi. We never really got to like kill it, but she is just one of those people who every time I was in the ring with her, I felt so at my absolute best. She brings that out of you.”
As for individuals she’d want to see back in WWE, she mentioned Paige and Kaitlyn.
“I love Paige… if I could bring somebody back, her and Kaitlyn. Let’s get them back.”
She adds some matches with talent she hasn’t shared a ring with.
“There’s such [an abundance of] wonderful, exciting new talent that I think can show me so much,” Lee said. “The way [her generation] maybe started an evolution, they continue it and then now we can learn from them. And it’s this really cool circle of moving the business forward. So I’d love to get in there with Lyra and Roxanne and Liv and Stephanie and Rhea. Gosh, there’s so many people that I would just [be] a blast to work with.”
Lee will be defending the Women’s IC Title at WrestleMania against Becky Lynch. Lynch is who she won the title against at Elimination Chamber. She has defended it one time so far against Bayley.
