Alba Fyre Ready To Become Champ;Sol Ruca Wins NXT Debut

As Mandy Rose quickly approaches a year as NXT Women’s Champion, Alba Fyre is determined to take the gold off of her.

Rose won the title last year at Halloween Havoc on Oct. 26 in 2021. This year’s Halloween Havoc takes place on Oct. 22 and Rose making it to 365-days may be stopped by Fyre. A match between the two hasn’t been made official but it seems to be headed that way.

On the Sept. 27 episode of NXT, Rose had a competitive match against Fallon Henley and came out with the win. She delivered the Poison Rose to get the victory and addressed Fyre after the match. Rose lets her know this is her last chance before Fyre interrupted. On the screen, Fyre lights on fire a message that stated #AndNew.

Two other women’s matches took place on this week’s pre-taped episode. Sol Ruca made her debut against Amari Miller. Ruca has had a couple of matches on NXT: Level Up but this would be the surfer’s first appearance on NXT. She picked up a win in her debut.

The last women’s match was Nikkita Lyons with Zoey Stark taking on one-half of the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Kayden Carter with Katana Chance. Lyons picked up a big win against Carter after pinning her following a spinning kick and a split leg drop. This will likely put Lyons and Stark in a position for a tag team title bout.
