Allysin Kay conquers a Triple Threat to retain her title at SHINE 60

SHINE Wrestling took Livonia, Mich. by storm as they hosted their SHINE 60 event this weekend. The main event saw Allysin Kay having to defend her title in a Triple Threat match. She faced a former two-time SHINE Women’s Champion Ivelisse as well as Mercedes Martinez.

Ivelisse was attempting to become the companies first-ever three-time champ whereas Martinez was attempting to grab her first. Martinez has won many titles throughout her career but the SHINE Championship has always escaped her. Unfortunately for both, Kay was able to continue her reign by picking up a win.

Kay is in her second reign as SHINE Champion. She lost the title in April in a title vs. title match against Miyu Yamashita. She regained it just 31-days later.

Other than the SHINE Championship, both the SHINE Nova Championship and the Tag Team Championships were defended. Both titles were retained, however, the tag team match ended in disqualification.

The full results for the event are as follows:

Brandi Lauren defeats Avery Taylor

Lindsay Snow defeats Leah Vaughan

Big Swole & Aja Perera (w/Ayla Fox) defeats Better Than You (Marti Belle & Jayme Jameson).

Double D Rose vs. Holidead ended in a double disqualification

SHINE NOVA Championship Match
Shotzi Blackheart (c) defeats Natalia Markova retaining her title.

SHINE Tag Team Championships Match
Team Sea Stars (Ashley Vox & Delmi Exo) defeats Rainbow Bright (Luscious Latasha & Gabby Gilbert) (c) via disqualification. Rainbow Bright retains.
