Ashley Vox picks up first win and Allie makes triumphant return on AEW Dark

This week’s edition of AEW Dark saw several stars return to the ring and pick up vital victories in the process. Ashley Vox made her return to the AEW ring to take on Alex Gracia and Allie made her long-awaited in-ring return against Jazmin Allure.

The night began with Penelope Ford facing Miranda Alize in a match that allowed Alize to show off her stuff. Ford showed her physicality with an array of stiff strikes and a beautiful Fisherman’s Suplex for the win.

Vox vs Gracia kicked off with a series of stiff back and forth exchanges. Vox locked the Pink Dream into the Fish Hook armbar, which gave Vox the submission victory. This was Vox’s first win in the company, which is very interesting. This was Vox’s third match for the promotion, and to have her submit Gracia, who is someone that AEW have put stock in, is an intriguing outcome.

Allie was next up to take Allure, who has been an AEW Dark regular as of late. The Bunny made it a triumphant return to the ring in a really physical and aggressive match. Allie made the most of her first match in six-months with a dominant showing and one that hopefully kick starts a decent run for the talented and criminally underused performer.

The previous night on AEW Dark: Elevation also saw some interesting developments. After the tag team match between Big Swole and Red Velvet against Leva Bates and Maid Wrenkowski, Jade Cargill and Nyla Rose turned up to seemingly challenge Swole and Velvet.

Now that is one intimidating team!

Tay Conti showed off her judo prowess at the expense of Ray Lyn. Conti threw Lyn about before landing the DDTay for the win.

In the main event of the show Rio Mizunami defeated new AEW signee, “Legit” Leyla Hirsch in a fun and physical match.
