Tensions have finally imploded between Asuka and IYO SKY and it took place in the main event of this week’s Raw.
During the show, there was a backstage encounter where Nikki Bella and Rhea Ripley were congratulating Stephanie Vaquer on her Women’s World Title win from Wrestlepalooza. They were interrupted by The Kabuki Warrirors. Asuka told Vaquer that it should be IYO SKY who is champion and not her, that she doesn’t deserve to be champion. Vauqer’s response is that she will prove to her why she is the champion. Ripley says she is so sick and tired of Asuka’s attitude and challenges her to a match later in the night. The match would wind up being the main event.
Prior to the main event, SKY joined The Kabuki Warriors. She tells Asuka that she doesn’t need to do this while Asuka says she is going to teach Ripley some respect and that she refuses to take any advice from someone who lost. SKY asks Kairi Sane to talk to Asuka and before Sane gets called away, she says the reason why they are all here is because of Asuka and they must listen to her.
On to the match. Throughout the match, Asuka instructs Sane to attack Ripley on numerous occasions. Sane tries to fight off the request, but doesn’t want to disappoint Asuka. When Sane finally goes to backhand Ripley on the apron, Ripley catches her and then moves out of the way just in time for Asuka to knock Sane off of the apron with the Empress Impact. Ripley rolls up Asuka into a small package to get the win.
Post match, Ripley didn’t have much time to celebrate as Asuka mists her in the face and blinds her. Asuka instructed Sane to go on the attack on Ripley. This prompted SKY to rush out. She attempted to diffuse the situation, but Asuka finally made the turn on her and after an embrace, attacked her. Asuka forces Sane to deliver the Insane Elbow onto SKY as Ripley continues to lay motionless from the mist.
This ladies, theys, and gentlemen is how you end a Raw (without The Vision every week).
Bayley took on Roxanne Perez.
Bayley made her return last week with both of her personalities on display. After saving Lyra Valkyria from a post match attack by Raquel Rodriguez, Bayley went on to hug everyone around her, but later in the night she would yell at Valkyria and call her an idiot. This week, Bayley wanted Valkyria at ringside with her. Reluctant to do so, Valkyria agreed that if it meant that much to her she would go out there.
Valkyria being out at ringside had its advantages as she did what she could to try and neutralize Rodriguez during the match. Bayley would pick up the win off of a Roseplant. After the match, Bayley shoves Valkyria to the match afterwards mocking her.
Stephanie Vaquer had a welcoming moment as new champion. She goes on to say she defeated one of the best on the planet in IYO SKY. She thanks her father who was with her in the audience for being the best example for her. She was informed that she will be facing the winner of the WWE Women’s Championship match this Friday at Crown Jewel for the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship. She will face either the current champion Tiffany Stratton or one of her two opponents, Nia Jax, or Jade Cargill.
Maxxine Dupri had a backstage moment where she approached Adam Pearce and requested an opportunity. He stated he will find one for her.
Becky Lynch was on the show, but only had a backstage moment with Seth Rollins. AJ Lee did not appear.
